The newest news for us........

Well, I've spent alot of time on blogger, but not to post... so I think it's about time I do. I fiddled with a million layouts, got horribly frustrated, and finally triumphed and got one to work. Yippee. So yes, ummmm.... news.
First big news... the offer fell through. :( But, no fear, we've already had two showings since then... one new one, and one a re-show. And we're hoping for more on the weekend. So now we're thinking that that one wasn't supposed to happen, and we can get more for the place, and maybe even keep the microwave. :) So yeah, back to not having an offer on the place... any takers?? LOL It's a nice place...... come on, ya know you want it. ;)
Talked to my dad this morning... he was about to go to bed. It was just after 8am here. He wanted to make sure that the Kevin killed in Afganistan (yes, we lost another one...) was not the Kevin my cousin is marrying in September... it wasn't, thank goodness. He couldn't remember the last name, so he called me to see if I had the invitation handy... I did, so we were both releived, and he went to bed. My mom and brother are off to Kashgar and the desert... wherever that is in China. It's a lot more southern than where my parents will be staying, which is in the middle of no where, to the far north-west. It's apprently been super hot all around there lately... high 40*'s, and the like. Yuck! Can't believe they're going to a desert... it's going to be worse there. Donovan comes back in a couple of weeks.... or a week.? I'm not sure. Don't get to see him though... I'll see him in September... My parents finally found an apartment in China. They don't get to move in till the 25th of August, but they're pleased with it. It's only 2 years old, and is a 2 bedroom plus den. It also has one of the nicest kitchens in China, or so my dad says. Which isn't saying much... Apparently they don't really do kitchens in China... hmmmm.... It's on the university campus, and is all asian themed (of course)... apparently the lady that runs the place designed the whole thing, and she's very particular and picky, so they were lucky to get in. It's fairly quiet, for China... not too crowded or busy, comparetivley speaking. I'm glad for them. Lots of loves happening in my family. :)
Anyhow, ummmm.... nothing much else to write I guess.... we're going up island this weekend! Yippee! Getting out of this place, and visiting people. And we won't be around to make a mess and then have an hour or two to clean up before a showing.... we'll just leave it all ready to go, and not worry about all weekend. And I won't have to cook. ;) Not that I mind, really. To save money and to eat healthier, we've started really trying to eat at home more. So I've been cooking quite a bit. But Ryan's a great hubby and cleans up the kitchen after for me... I do try not to make too much of a mess...... Anyhow, hope I can see alot of you when we go up for the weekend.
Totsiens....

Sorry to hear that your offer fell through. Like you said, it happened for a reason, and hopefully a better offer will come through.

Peter and I are trying to eat healthy, and eat at home more often. Eating out just "eats up" your money so quickly, and with moving and all, we just don't want to do that. Plus, I love to cook, so we haven't gone out in a week (okay- we spent three dollars at Taco Bell once and two-fifty at Wendy's). We've been liking it though, eating at home, and I like planning our meals and shopping for them, and budgeting and all that. Plus, we're not in Victoria, there's not a lot of good places to eat.

It was great to see you and Ryan on the weekend, and of course we are still praying that the right people will come along and buy your place. Robyn and I will be up there tomorrow. She has an interview at 2. We have to rush home right after so I am not sure if we will have time to see you or not. If we do, we'll call you. :)

Sorry that the offer feel through. Hopefully you'll get a much better one. That's how it seems to work. I'd buy it, but we can't really afford to buy right now :) Wanna keep it for sale for a year or so? :P Glad your parents and brother are doing well, must be strange to have them so far away.

Been trying to eat more at home, too. It's so much cheaper, and when you eat out, suddenly your money all disappears, and you're like, "Crap! Where did all our money go?!" And then you look at your bank statement and realize you spent half your money eating out. Ooops.

Aw, I'm sorry to hear that. But don't worry, something will come up ;)
... and I have to ask, where are you moving in? Robyn and I were talking about you guys, and wondering, where do you live??? lol
I'm with Carrie about the whole eating out. Apparently I spend with too much on Timmies, hehe
I can't help it, they're sooo good!
But lately, I have gone grocery shopping, and started cooking at home, it's fun, specially with Naima helping me hehe ... well she actually sits on her high chair and watches me, but she does supervise me.

Good luck gurlie!!
