Our new car!!

On Tuesday, February 20th, 2006, Ryan and I closed the deal on our 'new' 2003 VW Golf!!

It's so pretty... and sporty, and clean, and new-ish. It's the newest car either of us have ever had. I still have to practice driving it, 'cause it's a standard, but it'll be easier than the truck, for sure. It's only had one other owner, an old lady who took super good care of it, hardly drove it ever, took it in for all it's maintenance on the dot, etc.... We both love it!! And it's roomy, and now we can easily take passengers, but can also drop the seats and fit a decent amount of stuff in there. We have an appointment to put in an alarm, and to switch the stereo decks, and add the amp and the sub...

Ryan wasn't too keen on the colour, but I like it... it's not the worst, and it's easy to spot, and not that common a colour for a golf out here, so finding it in the parking lots shouldn't be too bad.

The interior is great. A nice dark charcoal. The seats are so comfy, and we have tilt steering and all that, so it's comfy to drive... very adjustable. The cup holders just pop out of the dash. Even the seat belts are comfy and adjustable. Lots of light. The visors have mirrors that when you open the sliding door on the mirror a light above the visor turns on... good for make-up, etc... And you can only lock the drivers side door with the key, so you can't lock your keys in the car... the lock just can't be pushed down from the inside when the door is open. Kat really needs that feature. LOL

So yeah, just wanted to rave about our new, dependable, beautiful, snazzy little car.

Nothing else new to report except that I have a cold... and I think Ryan's getting it now, so we're both kinda blah.....

Anyhow, loving the weather today. I nice break from the cold and the rain that pretends it's snow, etc...
