Craziness!
Job stuff has suddenly been crazy........
Well, I had enjoyed my first day (sun) at Cannor, and then on monday I got a call from Shaw Pet Hospitals about a day job opening, right in the morning before work. I talked to them again this morning, and they said I didn't even need another interview (I had gone for an interview there for a night shift position a couple months ago, but because it was graveyard, I didn't want it) and if I could start next week, 'cause the girl I'm replacing leaves the 29th, I had the job. I was like "YIKES", but could I really turn it down?!? $12/hr, full time, mon-fri, only 20 min away, which isn't too bad. and getting me closer to my career goal. So yeah, I had to tell Cannor that my first week was also my last, but they took it really well. I still want to start a little deck garden while I have my 25% off :) So I will be the kennel manager/supervisor there. In charge of all the back kennel areas, the pets for adoption, etc... Get to walk dogs, do laundry, clean, order products, play with cats, etc... So that's pretty exciting!!
Ryan's a little disapointed that his sleeping in days are already over, and he'll have to drive to get me, etc... 'cause it's not conveniently next door to us, but agrees it's an opportunity I can't pass up. So back to early mornings again, but we'll survive.
Other than that, not much to report. I liked Cannor, and it's a great place to get plants and gardening advice. I'm glad it's right next door, just too bad I don't have a yard.
Last weekend we went and saw 300, which was a fun movie to watch. Not for younger children, etc... but a visual treat, and some good lines. We liked the actors... they all played their roles really well. You have to like that kind of story and story-telling approach though, I think, to really enjoy it. We all liked it alot... :)
We're selling our truck, so if you know anybody?????????
Cheers!
This is cool Mel....

Go Sarah!! That's awesome, I'm so jealous, you get to be around animals all day! Congrats on your new job!
Congrats on the new job! That is so exciting. I hope you enjoy it.
Why not keep the truck. Then Ryan wouldn't have to drive you and pick you up. You could just go yourself?
Congrats on the new job. I personallyl would much rather work with animals than plants. Although plants don't pee and poo, and all you have to do is water them. :)
Congrats on the new job! Again! Good for you, glad you're finding something that you'll really enjoy
Hey!! That sounds AWESOME! I'm so happy for you, that sounds like the BEST JOB! And it's full-time, too? Oh man. I'm so jealous, I want your job. :P Good luck, let's hope it goes well!
Well, I'm loving the new job... I really want to take home some of these poor adoption kitties I'm working with... It's funn, and different, and with all the physical work of cleaning, etc... paired with walking the dogs, I'm going to start to get in shape. Yippee!!
We can't afford the truck... with the truck, it's insurance and gas guzzling, we're spending more than we make right now, which is not a good thing. Things are a little tight, ,so if we could sell the truck, we'd save money, and have some money to pay down some of our debt...
How much are you asking for the truck. Art may be interested.
Happy Birthday Sarah!!! :)
