Anniversary Weekend and Our Garden

Look at our crazy mimosa plant just growing away... and our pea plants are getting flowers... can't wait to have some fresh garden peas... though they are going to be a definite treat 'cause the birds got into the seeds before they could get growing and ate almost all of them, so luckily I had a few back-ups... but there's not going to be too many.

Look, we have strawberries!! And there's green life when you look out our window :)

The little plant you see in the front (not doing well) is our new mimosa... the one behind it, that is a couple months old, is SO much bigger now! The root bound plant you see is the large mimosa... it grew faster than we expected, and so this is it's second transplant...
And in the blue barrel are our lillies, which will hopefully bloom for Kat's wedding so she can decorate with specially grown lillies :)

Chocolate mint (can't wait to make cookies) and a look at most of the garden, and then it's our strawberry plants!

Our beautiful clematis. It is SO cool.

Our anniversary weekend... Couldn't get away (money and availability of places were an issue) but we had a great time. We went for a nice walk and had coffee and dessert at Ogden Point Cafe, and then went and looked at the cruise ships that were in, and chatted about going on a cruise... heard bagpipes coming from one of the boats. It was cool. The sky in this one picture reminded us of the sky in Moorea one evening when we were out taking pictures...

Some pictures of the cruise ships... and us leaning on the light-house thing at the end of the breakwater.... it was really dark so we had to take a long exposure and stay really still :)

We went and explored the nearest beach to us, which we'd never been to. It was fun. Very nice day.

More pretty cruise ships.

Man is that ever a big boat. :)

Too bad you couldn't get away. It looks like you had fun anyway. Happy Anniversary (belated) to you both.

Happy Belated Anniversary. Hard to believe you have been married a year already. Sometimes the best trips are the ones close to home.
